Default Bio- luminescent mushrooms has anyone used them?

I am planning on setting up my old whites set up for darts
and I found a Bio-luminescent mushroom Kit online and it seems like a pretty east thing to do
but it will take time to get results. 3 months.

The kit says that the best logs are hardwoods and the greener the better. (meaning fresh cut)
and even soaking in water over night is recommended.

The kit I bought has a set of inoculated wood plugs and plain paraffin wax candle.
You drill 1 inch deep holes with a drill bit that is slightly larger than the plug.
in a diamond pattern on the log then tap in the plugs flush with the log surface and once done.
you can melt the wax in a small pot and brush the wax on the log to cover the plugs to seal in
    the moisture.

So anyone here have any experience with these.
I am sure they are safe for frogs and that is why I would like to use them for darts
as darts are small and may not damage the mushrooms. Like larger tree frogs.

The 3 months will give me time to get fruit fly colonies established
I will reserve those questions for the feeder forum.

I have a maple tree that needed to be trimmed so I cut a 3" diameter branch that was too low to the ground
that it caused problem when mowing the grass.

I have it soaking in water now. And to morrow I am going to set up the terrarium.

ANd I need to put the drill battery on charge tonight LOL

i have seen them used Louis, but never used them myself. i just chose to make mushrooms out of oven bake clay. maple will definitely work for it though. take pics of the progress, if you don't mind, i would love to see how they are planted/installed.

I have my exo terra 24 X 18 X 36 set up with no lights
Just heat pads and a reptifoger and a hygotherm set to 75F and 80% RH

I have 3 inches of gravel with a lot of stones to hold heat.
I placed the inoculated log in the terrarium and now I am going to ignore it
for a month but keep the water in the fogger.

The instructions say it can take up to 3 months to actually see any growth.

Not much to look at but I will take a picture.

I did scrub the log clean after let it soak. Since it had splotches of lichen on it and
I didn't want the log getting over run by anything else but the intended fungi.

    Update:
After 2 weeks ( seems longer) of having the inoculated log in the enclosure At 77F and 80% RH
Tonight I got up to answer the call of nature and noticed pale green glowing dots in the enclosure.
I opened the doors and every place where I drilled and hammered in a plug was glowing green!!!
Not terribly bright but non the less glowing and 2 hrs after lights out! WOOT

Very cool! I'm curious to see how long they last once they grow out.

Here is a pict of the setup.
Again not much to look at as this is to only incubate the fungi.
Nothing else is living in there.
I have two heaters on the side. No lights
With a zoomed reptifogger and hygrotherm keeping things nice and cozy for the fungi.

I put all the rocks I had on the sides to act a heat capacitors.
So the heat would be some what stable.
The fogger runs maybe once or twice a day.
I also put plastic wrap on the top to keep the humidity and heat in.
