Sick Red-eyed tree frog

Please help! I have had my red-eyed tree frog for two years, raised him from a tadpole, and his green has been spotless the entire time. However, this morning he was half in his water dish and I saw some white/light yellow spots on the portions that were under the water. I just got home and his spots have trippled and they now cover his whole body (well, I've only checked the top part). I noticed he lost a little weight last week and went a couple of days without eating, he has since started eating and put the weight back on, but maybe it is part of the same issue. He also seems to stay up an hour or so after I turn his light on and prefers the ground over the big leaves he usually sleeps on.

Sorry we have to welcome you to Frog Forum writing about your sick frog .
He is , indeed, in need of a herp vet asap. He is very thin, and has been fighting this off for a while.
He needs antibiotics.

In the meantime :
-Do a soak w /pedialyte and distilled water ( 1:10 ) one part pedi to 10 parts distilled water ( 15-20 min /day)
-----to keep him in the soak - cover it--but make sure the water if very shallow so he can get his mouth out
-----his whole body does not have to be in the water
-Get him into a hospital tank
-Continue .......to maintain proper temps day and night -----day 76 to 80 ( not above) and night 71-76
-Humidity 70--80% not above 80%
-Continue to keep very clean soaking dish in his enclosure (water in dishes never above the frogs mouth ! especially when the are ill)
-Continue to offer - dusted - small crickets every night ( completely dark !)
-Keep himin a low traffic - quiet area
-Continue to provide day /night light cycle
-Cover there sides of the enclosure ( ie dark towel/fabric/brown paper ) of which will help him more secure
-Do not handle him unless absolutely necessary ie for a treatment

Here is vet information - email him the photo. However, I think it's best to find a herp vet to treat him sooner as you have to wait for medication to be mailed from Dr Frye. I believe you should not wait.

If you have do not have a herp vet; call any near-by vet.
If they do not treat frogs they will give you the names of vets that do.
When speaking to the "herp vet" ask the direct question--- "Do you treat frogs"
Sometimes it takes a few calls.
Some vets will treat larger amphibians but not frogs.

When you get a chance; please answering the questions Carlos posted as this will really help. There may be something very important ( ie in his daily care) that has to be changes immediately.
