curious about pacman frogs behavior

Today rather suddenly, my frog went from keeping itself buried in the eco earth to floating in its water dish. This is the first time it has done this and I am curious if it signifies anything I should be correcting?

What do you mean floating??? How deep is the water? Water depth should be no deeper than chin deep. They aren't the best swimmers.

It is normal for them to get into their water dish to soak. The frog may have been thirsty so to speak.

Lol, floating was a poor choice of words. The dish isnt deep enough for the frog to completly submerge.
