Would it be bad to take dandelions (or just the seeds) from outside from an area without chemicals and put it in my frogs cage? I did spend some money on plants but I want more and don't have a lot of money at the moment and I would like the look of dandelions anyway. Thank you for reading
that's an excellent question. i'm not really sure if dandelions would be able to withstand the humidity of most vivariums. they might. but i am 100% positive that a seedling or juvenile plant will not withstand the trampling that a bull frog would dish out. the only other concern i would have with them is that they dig very long and deep root structures, and i'm not sure how they would enjoy a shallow substrate that we keep in vivs.

No. The plant would begin to decay and mold while still alive before it would succumb to the tropical climate.
I too think they would rot, then you´d get nasty fungus growing. The worst thing is of course they are a weed and we all know how that would end up, if they did live you´d have nothing but dandies trampled all over your tank.
It is better to choose plants for vivs, or even have a few water plants.
