I've got a filter and used media from a fish tank with a whitespot outbreak. It's a shame because the media is full of good bacteria which would be great if it weren't for the whitespot. Can ACF get infected by whitespot? What do I have to do to make the filter safe for them? Will I need to buy new media, or is there any way of cleaning the media to get rid of all traces of whitespot? I know that will also get rid of the good bacteria, but I don't live near anywhere that sells filter media so it would save me having to wait for delivery.
Thanks.
Ick is a fish protozoan parasite and can't infect frogs. Filter media is fine for frogs and if no fish are in tank, eventually parasite will die off due to lack of host .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I was hoping that would be the case. Thanks, Carlos!
