I was thinking of another thread of a similar problem and a pedolyte solution was recommended for the frog to have a soak in it.
to give the sick frog some energy.
I let mine soak in plain warm 85F de-chloranted water when I spot clean the substrate every other week or so depends on how many little presents he has left for me.
I take him out and make a warm 85F de-chloranted water bath that is just deep enough to touch the under side of his chin
when he is sitting up.
I wrap a towel around it since the container is clear to keep him calm and 99% of the time in about 5 min or so he will
have a good swim and a BM.
While he is in the water I add water to the substrate if it is too dry. and I smooth out all the little craters he has made.
loosen up the substrate so it isn't packed down so he can easily burrow into it.
Change the water in his dish for that day.
Then I put him back in and he will hop around and find a comfortable spot and burrow into the substrate as he turns around
in a circle. I will try to make a video of him doing the circle burrow, I think it is cute.
He doesn't complain one bit during the process. Like some growl and hiss. He doesn't try to bite me at all.
he will sit contently in my hand and some times doesn't want me to put him down.
I hope he doesn't grow out of that.
