This may be a stupid question but I see people stressing how sensitive frog and toads' skin is. If I needed to move my frog to clean the tank, or move him to a different feeding area how should I go about washing my hands? I have heard that you should not use soap because if any is left it will damage them badly. But then your hands would be dirty. Like I said, maybe I'm over thinking, but I am new to frogs and want to have the best starting experience possible!
Before I handle my frogs, I wash my hands with hot water. However I don't do anything with my tanks after I do any household cleaning, working on the car, or anything like that. I always do these things on separate days.
After I handle my frogs, I always use hot water with anti-bacterial soap.
Hi there, I use disposable clear gloves. Once the gloves are on just rinse them off first before you handle your frog. I find it to be the safest.
I will was my hand with rubbing alcohol and rinse with water till I can smell it anymore. I don't use the alcohol gels as the have fragrance added to them and that is bad too. I have yet to find with this additive.
