You can plant just about any creeping vine you'd like. Darts don't require much ventilation. No need to drill. The simple act of opening and feeding them every day or every other is all the ventilation they need. Some people ventilate the tank to keep it clear of condensation. Usually a one to two inch strip of screen along the top front length of glass is sufficient. humidity escapes so you'll need to mist a bit more frequently if you ventilate. Also mist more heavily and feed daily to stimulate breeding. Usually twice daily misting. You don't need to soak everything when you mist. Just give everything a light light spray. I'm sure you know but sopping wet substrate leads to soil rot and root rot.
The brom and pup are perfect. Ne herp sells the film cans cheap. No rush on those but they make breeding easy.
