Oh wait. Lol my bad yeah, those three things are my waterfall/soaking/pond feature. They are sealed tight with exopy and silicone. My plant pot area has the drainpipe and the cave looking thing in the front is a hide for them. I do appreciate your mentioning though, chances are I would have forgot.
I got some bronze silicone to help seal it up and it looks like the wet coco fiber so it blends well. I was proud of myself for that lol
Oh yeah, I did have a question for you. When you made the cove type area, how did you seal the areas you didn't want aquatic critters to get too? I am also most ready for the 55 but I don't want to have one side water, one side land. I want a sort of circle/lagoon type thing but I am unsure as to how to block off the areas that will be under the land part. Thanks!
i used eggcrate covered in landscape fabric. the substrate keeps them out at the bottom, and i siliconed the pieces where they meet vertically.

I AM FINISHED! Praise the tank gods! After much cussing and brainstorming I fixed the false bottom and the plant area
And I am not touching it anymore! So thanks again to all those who have helped especially Deranged Chipmunk couldn't have done it without ya!
Here is a video and a picture (sorry for the quality, best I could do)

awesome
So I've started my planning on the 55 gal and I have come to the conclusion that I will have to make my own cover so that I can have my light above the tank instead of on the screen. Here is my question will this be enough ventilation?
So it will be 4 pieces in total. Two pieces to each side (top and bottom). the top pieces are 23" x 7.5". The vent holes will be (2) 6.5" x 3". The bottom pieces will be 23" x 4" and the vent holes will be (2) 9" x 2".
I hope this makes sense and you are able to follow along, I am by no means an artist or an architect.
If more clarification is needed to answer please let me know
