Identify this frog? hurt leg?

i'm a relatively experienced frog owner i have 3 tree frogs and other lizards. i was at the pet store buying my 3rd tree frog when the worker asked if i wanted this other frog that our crabs go a hold of(i don't know how). anyways, i THINK he is a southern leopard frog (i live in georgia). i just want a second opinion on what he might be. AND is there anything i can do to help his leg heal? hopefully it will on its own but is there anything i can do to help?

Could be a young Wood Frog (Rana sylvatica), but I could be wrong. Southern Leopard Frog looks to be ight, but the dark coloring beneath the eye traveling back to the tympanum kind of had me thrown off.

A Wood Frog wouldn't be green or have the spots on the back. If it was found in a pet store, it's not necessarily a Georgia native and I probably wouldn't be able to tell the various Leopard versions apart so I'll say 'some kinda leopard frog' is probably a safe bet.

Sorry, I've no experience with injuries like that, but a sterile hospital tank is in order. It looks like it's missing most of that back leg or at least the foot? And much of the skin on the remaining part of it's leg? Is this a fresh wound or has healing already begun?

Oh wow! I didn't see the leg injury. Ouch! It definitely needs a hospital setup. A small keep with mosit paper towels as substrate. You could use Original Neopsporin without painkiller. The painkiller will kill the frog.

You could also try shallow baths of dechlorinated water and Melafix the fish antibiotic to help prevent infection.

Offer him tiny crickets as food, but don't place very many in at a time incase they decide to chew on his wound.

About how long should i keep him in the hospital setup?
when its healed up, will it not look like stuff is coming out of the wound?

It will take a long time to heal. You will have to change the paper towels daily and clean the hospital setup. Provide places for him to hide. Apply the Neopsporine twice a day. Morning and night.
