Ha ha! I'm not sure yet. It is a temporary home until I get my big tank, so I may keep it simple.

I have done false bottoms and they are easy and work well. The 55 I made a few years back was elbow PVC angles under eggcrate with 2 posterior draining holes, fiberglass mess sewed with fishing line to the eggcrate, aquarium gravel, peat moss, cocoa fiber substrate. It filtered the water so well that when I drained it out the port holes it smelled like fresh rain. I had springtails in my substrate as well.

I was actually thinking since my plants will all be in pots on the walls, that I might just be lazy and do the old brown paper towels as flooring. That way I can keep an eye on things. But, we'll see. I will still use the glass feeding bowl method also.

With all of the hot weather here the GS foam has cured amazingly fast. Today I'm just going to work on vines for the dart tank and consider where I'd like to place each plant on the wall. So many choices .
