Thanks for the support, guys. I'm gonna bury Nivose today in my Garden... I was really looking forward to watching him grow, and hearing his calls, too
As for if it had gotten too hot, he passed away at about 10:30 PM last night, and I keep my window open. It was slightly on the cold side, but certainly was not overly so.
It's possible he could've had parasites. Keep in mind this is a froglet I found in the middle of the road and took in because he looked overly skinny. I don't know if he could've choked on a cricket, he's eaten bigger earthworms than any cricket I've fed him. Could it have been an overdose of calcium, because I have been dusting his crickets a lot with both a multi-vitamin mix and Calcium + Vit D3.
I typically wash my hands before and after handling my amphibians, but I've only really made special care to prevent transmission of diseases from Bumpy and Gnag to my other frogs, as being a Green frog and a Bullfrog, I expect their skins to be bacteria-covered. But, I'll definitely take much stricter precautions like you've mentioned Lynn.
Oh, and Lindsey, just to clear up any confusions, I'm a guy. Don't worry, lots of people have made that mistake before![]()
