Well, that little diva Bumpy may be going through another problem again
As you may or may not have known, my adult Green frog (Rana Clamitans) experienced a double case of tetany and giardia, from which she fully recovered from 2 weeks ago. I have her in her 20 gallon, with a proper, Fluval U1 filter, plenty of cover and a background. She is on a diet of crickets, dusted with a calcium mix every other feeding and a multivitaimin mix weekly. She is not accepting any earthworms I offer, unfortunately, and is an extremely skittish frog.
Recently, I spotted an odd, white spot on her back, beside her spine and in the middle, 1/3 or 1/4 the size of a pencil eraser. Bumpy is acting normal, and eating normally, and I have been doing extra water changes. She also has a layer of duckweed in her tank, which I placed in around the time I spotted the white dot. From what I know, dots like these are often the sign of a fungal infection, but I have felt this dot and it feels just like the rest of her skin. This dot has not changed at all for the 3 days I have been monitoring it, so I am unsure what to do.
Unfortunately, I do not have the money to treat a full-scale infection if it requires heavy-duty medications. I have some panacur, unflavored pediaylte, and salt on hand, however.
I can try and get a photo, but Bumpy is an extremely skittish frog, so it will be difficult.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Caspian
