Hi...what sort of bulbs , if any, would I need for my tank with White's Tree Frogs and real plants please? I have an Exo Terra Congo tank with a dual bulb capacity in the canopy. Many thanks....![]()
I like the T5's. I have a regular Exo terra 5.0 tropical light in my day gecko tank and the plants grow like crazy. It will warm the tank up a bit though so be sure it won't get too warm for your frog. It can also dry the top half of the tank, so I have to mist well twice a day.
You can also use a GE 6500K CFL bulb, which are much cheaper. If you can't find them locally, amazon sells them. I get mine at Home Depot. I have one over my retf tank. It works fine, but the plants seem to grow faster under the 5.0 bulb.
Of course, you can also get 6500K strip bulbs/fixtures.
All bulbs will need replaced once a year if they don't burn out by then.

Here you go . Good luck
My pleasure, heather. I've learned a lot reading the various care guides on their website
I'm going to scroll around and read more. Greatly appreciated!
