Default new fbt owner a few questions

So I jus got two fire belly toads for my birthday about a week ago, spot (brown with a green spot on the middle of his/her back) and Kermit (bright green) Kermit likes to hide all day while spot may climb is this normal for one to just hide all day ? if not whats wrong? & I never seen them mate or make any noise at night does this mean they are both females ?

    Drew,
    Welcome to the forum,

Personally I don't have much experience with FBT.
    But others here do.
But with out detailed photos we can't tell much.

I know one of your babies likes to hide but if you can send up some shots at different angles
    that would help.

In the frog world almost all males call when they are ready to mate.

it also depends on the age of the frogs juveniles may not call.
    Hope this helps.
    And welcome to the hobby.

Hiya! I had six and all of them have different personalities. 2 were climbers and always busy. 1 is always in the water. 2 like the shallows and the last one ( bright green) never really moves until night time. She is always just hiding. Do you have plants or anything in the tank. Mine really went bonkers after I added some vines, even mrs lazy pants. Just a thought! :-)

    Welcome to FBTs!

One of mine loves to hide. It'll come out more at night usually. I've recently changed to the blue colored bulb and he's been more active. They're like people, all different personalities.

I've never seen mine call but I wouldn't be worried about it. These little guys are hard to sex.

    Welcome to the forum Drew!
your toads will hide for the first day or two if you had just
acquired them, i would think that kermit may be a little stressed.
if you have two of the same gender, they may try to amplex out
of confusion if they are both males. it may be that they are two
different species. Bombina orientallis, and bombina bombina
