I have a 20 gallon, all glass with a screen top. I cannot keep the humidity above 20% I mist and it just goes back down after a few hours. I have even tried using plastic sheeting to cover up half the screen and placing a screen top over that. any ideas?
yeah, its simple. you have too much ventilation. you need to get a lid or some kind of top that will keep that humidity in. some even enclose there entire tank
Do you have a substrate that holds moisture? If not I would recommend coconut fibers (eco-earth). Also what kind of animal is in the aquarium?
Before we can help offer solutions; could you please describe your 20 gal. enclosure (substrate, decor, plants if any, water dish or water features, etc.) and present heating set-up? Also, what frogs are you keeping? Thank you!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Coco fiber one misc foliage plant and some moneywort in the water. Got a new humidity gauge and put it in the darker part of the cage and its been a consistent 70 to 80 percent
