Introducing myself and looking for ID help

Hi my name is Jessi and I just brought home a classroom frog from my son's 4th grade class. I am hoping your forum members can help ID this frog so I can research it and learn how to take care of it with my son. From what I understand, the habitat should have both land and water options for the wee froggy but in the classroom these particular frogs were a complete water environment. This wee critter is about 3/4" from head to rump and his legs are about 3/4" as well. Any help steering me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Both pictures are of the same frog, but lighting makes it look different. Thank you so much for any and all help!

Hello and welcome to FF Jessi ! From pics looks like an African Dwarf frog. Could you confirm it has webbing between fingers of front legs? Here is a care article on ADF: http://www.frogforum.net/care-sheet-...warf-frog.html.

Yes the little guy does appear to have webbed front feet. (S)he is so very small it is hard to tell but it does appear that the front feet are webbed. Not sure how old wee froggy is - class has had them for about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the care sheet and thanks for the tip about dechlorinator. That is the ONE thing the teacher made sure to tell me - dechlorinate the water.
