OK after looking at both systems.
    I like the Mistking better.

If something breaks like the pump it can be easily replaced or repaired.
Unlike the exoterra that is all self contained.

And you can use what ever tank you want for the water supply.
Where as the exoterra is provided and limited.

    And the mistking is upgradeable.

As far as actual use and durability I can't attest to the quality of either.

Since I don't have any live plants I chose a fogger for my humidity control.

The only thing I would add to the system is a couple of float sensors to sense the water level in the supply tank.
One to let you know the water is low and a second at a min level to shut down the pump.
( I don't care how well built a pump is . it is never a good idea to run a pump dry.)

i believe mistkings pumps can all run dry. i somehow switched my pump to continually cycle and it ran an entire night and flooded my tank(twas empty so calm down). it was moaning when i woke that morning. must have run dry for a few hours. still runs strong and that was over 6 months ago

Mistking is the best. I'd go with the ultimate setup which comes with zip drip. The standard nozzles are great but I just recently switched to the premiums for less bulkyness

Exoterra mister is very much "TOY" ish compared to Mist King...

I have been running mist king pump for over a year...quite good...zip drip ? i did not noticed any difference with or without it as i have it on and...it still drips

Now im testing one out from Vivaria Project...I think u can get it pretty cheap as its a european brand...simple and for that amount to pay for it...why not
U don't need a BMW or a Lamborghini to get from point A to point B
If a simple toyota can get things done...then why not just drive a toyota
    Well just my 2 cents

do you have the zip drip hooked up correctly? Mine doesn't drip at all and at the moment its running two double head mist nozzles? should be connected like this

from reservoir you should run the line into a T connector where it straight lines to the pump and the zip drip comes off the other end of the T. The line coming into the zip drip should be the return line from the last nozzle in your connection, so basically the water does a circle. Reservoir > pump > out to first nozzle > continues on to other nozzles > back to zip drip

that is strange. i would call mistking. they have a great staff and are a small company. they will treat you right and help you out. may even replace yours for free if needed.

i couldnt manage without my zip drip
