At the hour of Rat I had a night walk in an outlying stream 2 yards across to where I stayed. I was bored so I thought I should go stroll around after a light drizzle, armed with my camera.
This one, I think, is from the genus Kaloula, tho not sure wich specie.Usually, they sound like carabaos in heat but this one croaks like that of a goat.
By the way, these frogs are photograph in the Island of Bohol, Philippines.![]()
Welcome to FF! Don't know IDs, but thanks for sharing nice photos. The 1st frog with banded legs is very attractive
.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Hi Carlos
Sure the frog is very attractive and a bit skittish too! I have to be careful not to prompt it jump again to take the photo. The 2nd frog was a bit o' a jackpot for me, since we only saw several common frogs. I'm just curious on their families and they never fail to fascinate me especially their weird calls.
Hi, and welcome to the forum,
Really not much idea about the identities, but at a guess ... #2 certainly looks like a Polypedates of some kind, #3 & 4 look like some kind of Fejervarya, and #5 certainly looks like a Kaloula (conjuncta, maybe?). No idea about #1, which I'm guessing would be the most common!
Good luck!
Hi Numpty
Thank you for the references, this would be a good start.![]()
