    Default Crickets

So, I have two clown tree frogs, and all they seem to eat is crickets. They completely ignore anything else I have put in front of them, like worms and segments of worms. Anyway, Is it okay if i put in a few more crickets by accident, because I figure they could just climb away if they are bothered. Also, one of the frogs I had is healing from a cist, but she seems much more active than the other one that has normal skin. Maybe because It wakes up later, because they are only up from 9 pm and later

If leaving excess crickets in enclosure would suggest you set a dish with food items for them. Once they get hungry, the crickets can bite your frogs looking for a meal .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Have you tried other insects? I dont imagine tree frogs see alot of worms in the wild.

How will the crickets know if there is food for them in the enclosure?
And I have tried earthworms and mealworms. Maybe I can try fruit flies or something

Same way they find food in the average home cricket keeper or larger breeding bins .

Try flies. The buzzing sound of the flies gets my Grey Tree Frog super excited. he is like a 2 year old in a candy store with flies. I get flies from my window(only because I got him from my back yard as a egg so if he lived him my yard he would eat the crickets and flies and whatever) I drop them into his tank and its all over for the flies. I say you can leave a cricket or 2 in the tank with him but if you put PLAIN popcorn for the crickets to eat they will leave your frog alone. Just change the food for the crickets everyday do it doesn't mold. My vet said it won't harm the frog if its plain popcorn.

Try the http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...owl-trick.html Either put the crickets directly in the dish, or bury the dish so it's lip is level with the substrate and use it as a pitfall trap for the free range crickets so they don't get to roam indefinitely.

You can also try wax moths as an enticing food item (they're the adult form of the readily available waxworms).
