Default Golden Tree Frog Question... and thanks again for all the advice

    So...
I guess these frogs are addictive... lol as most of you know me I have an albino pacman frog, and two baby Austrailian Green tree frogs... all doing well....

So the local pet store by me (Petland discount), had a Golden Tree Frog. He has been in there for about a year. Felt so sorry for him. One of the employess, who knows how much attention I put into my animals, said I should take him. After 3 weeks of debating, and feeling sorry for him, I did.

They kept him in a Nano Exoterra, where he had such little room, and just would hang on to the back wall. Well, I put him in a 18x18x24 exo terra, put pleanty of branches in it, hidding spots, plastic plants. Often when at the pet store most times he was Black, and very rarely his color Gold. I am glad to report, he is now gold almost always ( will change when new people come to look at him) eating well, (crickets 2 to 3 times a week, dusted once a week), and pooping well. (Man can he poop I will say!!!)

He now LOVES to hang in the leaves iln the plant and is adorable how he will rest with his legs crossed under his chin.

Last question, when in the pet store, he would love to go on the female employes hand and climb and sit still. He is now doing it to me, and yes I know that they really dont like to be handeled much, but he seems to enjoy it and while on my hand he looks around then looks right at me. Should I continue to do this with him, or just keep him in his terrarium??

Thanks again, and as always all advice is greatly appreciated!!!

Think that as long as you wash hands and rinse with dechlorinated water and he always goes to hand voluntarily there is no harm done. Please share pics when you can !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

    What a lucky frog!
    He sounds like a cutie.
I agree with Carlos----please share photos when you get a chance

You are very lucky as they are usually so frightened by a hand approaching them.

We would love to meet him
