We got our delivery from Ivory Reptiles on Thursday! They all arrived in excellent condition and we are very happy with them!
We were originally only ordering one Ruby Red and one Lime Green Albino... but then frog addiction happened! SOMEHOW, we ended up getting three Rubies, one Lime, one Lime/Red, and two Greens.
Here are the new babies!
Ruby 1:
Green 1:
Lime/Red:
Green 2:
Ruby 2:
Lime:
Ruby 3:
Of course, the pictures don't do them justice, particularly the Rubies. They are so bright in real life! And they are redder too vs the more orange look in the pics. They are all little chubbies! I can already see their different personalities showing through. The Lime is the most laid back. The two greens are feisty as all get out. The first Ruby decided my finger looked better than the worm and took a chomp on it already. lol. So welcome the newest additions to our froggie family!
Wow guys, those are all colorful and lovely... I'm so jealous !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Gratz on all the new babies.
They are beautiful! Congrats to you and great breeding from IvoryReptiles!

Nice. i just love getting to see such beautiful froggies. how do you have them setup? and how are you heating so meany setups?
Vision rack. 20 x 15 quart tub system. Just coco fiber and a water dish. Heated with Zoo Med 50' heat cabel controled by a Vivarium Electronics VE-100 Temp controller.
I have many adults in Medium critter keepers with a Zoo Med Hermit Crab UTH on the side and a heat lamp pointed at them for supplemental heat when necessary. The other adults are as fallows.
Grif(female cranwelli)- 10 gallon long with UTH and heat lamp. Hygrotherm controled climate. Lights on a timer. Zoo Med Reptifogger.
Loki(male cranwelli)- Zoo Med Naturalistic Terrarium 12"x12"x18". UTH and Heat lamp. Hygrotherm controled climate. Lights on a timer. Zoo Med Repgifogger.
Luciferin(female joazeirensis)- 12"x12"x18" Exo Terra. UTH and heat lamp. No timer or Hygrotherm. Climate controled by my adjustments.
Pariah(female cranwelli)- 10 gallon long. UTH and Heat lamp. Climate controled by my adjustments. Lights on a timer.
Nephilim(male cranwelli)- Zoo Med 12"x12"x18" Naturalistic Terrarium. UTH and Heat lamp. Hygrotherm controled climate. Reptifogger. Lights on a timer.
Sanguine(male ornata)- Exo Terra 12"x12"x18" terrarium. UTH and Heat lamp. Hygrotherm controled climate. Reptifogger. Lights on a timer.
Oasis(female cranwelli)- Exo Terra 18"x18"x18" terrarium. UTH and healt lamp. Climate controled by my adjustments. Soon to be Hygrotherm controled. Lights on a timer.
I didn't go into full on detail, but thats the rough description. Before anyone says anything about us keeping the babies in 15 quart tubs instead of a much smaller environment I will say this. We are not amateurs and usually advise the smaller enclosure to help new keepers with feeding issues and climate issues. It is much easier to maintain proper climate in smaller environments and makes access to food easier for the frog. A lot of my setups are climate controled. Some of the adults will be moved into the rack later on.
All these babies are eating great and are in no way stressed. I also have every tub covered with terrarium background so they feel secure. Only the front of the tubs are uncovered for light cycle and so I can see them.

wowwwww! these are amazing babies! don't you just love getting 7 instead of 2 at least you are both the same, or one more addicted then another?
me on the other hand.... have like no frogs and family is all about i have too many
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
beautiful babies grif
Given that I didn't know we were getting the two greens until they were already on the way, I would have to say Jerrod is more addicted. Or the recently acquired Pixie... Or the time I got a text while I was at work that said, "Don't be mad," followed by a picture of a little frog that somehow found its way to our home. We both really love frogs, but sometimes I have to be the bad cop and say no because we just can't take them all. But it is really great that we can share this hobby!
We will keep everyone updated on their progress. I swear they have already grown!
BEAUTIFUL Griff. Post a pic of your rack, i may get a vision rack myself, just trying to figure which one. Nice rubies.
Thanks Everyone! They are all settled in to their new homes and doing great!
I have been meaning to do a thread showing my setups... I haven't gotten around to it though. All these little hungry mouths are keeping me quite busy! I like the Vision rack, although we did have an issue with the tubs. The model that it was designed to use (#1754) are now discontinued. I read multiple places that you can substitute the #1753; they do fit, but very snugly. On the plus side, the frogs won't be able to knock the tubs loose. But they stick a little bit sometimes when I pull them out. But so far it has been great for maintaining temps and humidity.
Glad you two are happy with them!... and I hope Colleen likes her earrings... and you two are the only ones that got a 6 spot... all the rest are staying here.. I already started holding everyone I find back.... I think I've got 2 albinos and 2 greens so far.
how are the babies doing? My ruby from Ivory gets delivered tomorrow, I lucked out and was able to get one of their hold backs.
What are you feeding them now?
Also I have not been able to come across a good photo of an adult ruby if anyone has one I'd love to see a pic.
this one is my fav
Here are a couple quick snapshots. They are growing so fast! Ruby 1 is just under 2.5 inches already. And Ruby 2 is catching up fast. They are all little fatties too!
Don't mind the worms hanging out of their mouths in some of the pics. The only time most of them will sit still long enough for me to get a pic is when their mouths are full.
