Plastics adsorb and give off chemicals. If previous owner used bin to store items toxic to frog, this could be a problem.
4-temp Around 60-65
This time of year recommend bring up day temps to 68-86F with a small dip at night.
5-water - type - for both misting and soaking dish. We use our well water but to be safe I boil it.I mist him every.....6-7 hours at a time.
If well water is safe for drinking you do not need to boil. If water has heavy metals that could be a problem but if you had it analized and came out safe for humans should be OK.
6-materials used for substrate I use a mixture of a HUGE bag of co co fiber and crushed sunflower seeds.
Hum... never heard of crushed sunflower seeds in enclosure. If frog dives on a food item and swallows a piece of seed that is an impaction risk.
8-main food source he eats Can O' Crix
This has to be improved. Need to get live gut loaded crickets for it. Collecting insects could work; but if location around you is treated for pesticides that is a no-no. Also, could try earthworms from bait shop (no paints or additives) because they have good nutrition. Problem is many tree frogs refuse to eat them.
9-vitamins and calcium ? ( how often ) Ummmmm...I do dust his dead crickets every 4 or 5 weeks for 6 days.
This has to improve. Dust with calcium 2X and vitamin 1X per week on different days with skip day in between.
10-lighting He is provided with only sunlight.(Read the captive or wild question for awnsering)
11-what is, specifically, being used to maintain the temperature of the enclosure - Just the sunlight if it gets over 65-70 then the blinds are closed.
Unless you are paying extreme attention to it; this is risky because sunlight can warm up an enclosure quickly. If it goes above frog temp. limit, even if for short time it could harm it. With light you have a more controllable source of heat.
12-when is the last time he ate
About....2 weeks ago.
See number 8.
16-how long have you owned him I have had him for......6 weeks now.
How long is frog (snout to vent) and how many canned crickets was it eating daily before it stopped feeding?
19- about how often the frog is handled I handle him only when I clean his cag, when i d he just is perched on my shoulder or arms.
Make sure you wash hands and rinse areas of body here frog touches. It can absorb chemicals through it's skin and soap, etc. are no good for it.
