definitely a male. I heard the croaking before (a month or so back) and I wasn't sure what it was honestly, but he did it about 10 times this morning and it was loud enough to wake me up every single time. Still sounds like a frog that has a hoarse voice. Not exactly the sound I'd expect from a frog, hahah. Scares the daylights out of me when I wake up from a noise like that while in deep sleep. I guess I'll get used to it. He's still young so maybe it won't be so bad when it's a solid bellowing tone to it.
Either way, I'm happy about the confirmation. A little noise won't kill me![]()
picture update?
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
I'll take one shortly. Lots bigger now... looks like I'll be buying it a new bowl soon. I'm actually thinking I got a false alarm because the croaking seems to actually be coming from my Pacman frog, but I'm not sure. Either way, ONE of them is a male lol. Still trying to figure out which one it is.
with pacs is easy, just check for nuptial pads![]()

That's a healthy looking female. The last picture you posted shows her vibrant colors, very good looking frog.
This thread just proves we (the members, myself included) can not accurately sex the frog in question until it is or close to being a adult.
ThanksI try to take care of the frog as best as I can. Eats really well, and definitely loves sitting in their bowl waiting for food. Of all the frogs I've had over the years this is definitely one of my favorites.
