Default Maintenance of my tank ?

I have a 10 gallon tank filled with approx 5in of water, a filter, live plants, gravel and rocks for 3 FBTs.

How often do I need to do partial water changes and then how often to clean out the whole tank please??

I've got it in my head that I do partial water changes (20%) twice a week and a full clean out once a month??

I do spot cleans with a turkey baster every day.

You shouldn't have to clean it out at all if you do regular partial water changes. Twice a week is a bit much. If your filter has cycled for a few weeks, a 20-40% water change each week should be more than sufficient - only go more frequent if the toads put out a lot of waste relative to the volume of water.

    Thanks John.

Sorry to keep on, but just to get it right in my old head, my new mostly aquatic set-up with the new filter has been running now for a week or so. I was planning to clean the filter every two weeks as instructed on the box.

So am I correct in thinking that I can wait another 3 weeks or so before starting partial water changes, & how do I know how much poop the frogs are leaving.

What does frog poop look like, & is it always in the water?

Usually and it breaks up rather quickly. So, you might not see any with a filter up and running.

You might be able to go that long, but monitor it.
