    Default eating substrate

I have been using eco earth substrate in my frog's terrarium. I noticed that every time they eat, they grab some of the substrate in their mouths along with the crickets. Is this safe or am I risking impaction by using this substrate?

    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated

First off, what kind of frog is yours? Some amphibians take things like this better than others.

I honestly doubt it'll affect him/her, though. My salamanders typically ingest a bit of soil-coconut fiber every time they eat an earthworm and they've never shown any signs of impaction/prolapse.

your frogs are perfectly safe using eco earth substrate. it is ground up fine enough that even the smallest of frogs can pass it without the risk of impaction.
