Default Update on housing my two frogs together...

    Hi again,
A little while ago I posted about my two male ABFs, that turned out to be one male, one female instead.
I asked when it would be safe to house them together, they are the same age (6mths old) but Goober is big and Pickle is very small.
He tried to eat her once and I was so worried about putting them in the same tank, when I did try before Goober went straight
for her and obviously did not like her.
Well I waited a little bit and started to sit them together during feeding times and when cleaning their tanks.

Goober is a good 6inches and weighs 460gms
and the female Pickle is only 3inches and weighs 200gms.
I decided to try it properly, so last night I put them in one tank, I watched them basically ALL night!
At one point I thought he´d eaten her...I panicked so much, but found her hiding under the earth near a rock.
Then at 5.30am Goober the male started to croak loads, more than he ever has done before, so I thought he might be a little
angry having her in his tank.
But today they were both in the water together and he was puffing up and croaking like mad and now and then, trying to mount her.
So I guess Goober is happy with her now

He seems to have livened up a lot!
I have never heard him croak so much before, it is pretty awesome. He only used to croak once or twice a night, just a few in a row then stop.
He´s been croaking for ages, it sounds amazing.

Pickle seems happier today also, she has dug down in the soil but near the water and her head is still sticking out, so I don´t think she is scared
of him anymore...he is still sat in the water I presume resting after his numerous attempts at "lurve making"

At last they are together and all is peaceful

(Also means I have a spare tank now so I can look for another frog)

    hehehe

Sounds like he realized his girlfriend wasn't food. I would still keep a close eye on them since there is such a huge size difference.
