wow so females get bigger? how can you sex them? I'm going to the reptile expo this weekend and they sometimes have them for sale. Also can you house them together? I have a 29 gal long.
Here is a 5.5'' blob of a male lol.
A 5'' male
and a big ol' 6'' female, not the best picture, but yeah...

nice!
A big factor for me when sexing besides the size of the frog obviously, is to look at the shape of the head. If you look at pictures of males they have a narrow head in comparison to the width of their body, while the female has an evenly wide head in comparison to the body. Also males tend to have a darker mottled looking throat, and if young will have pinkish circular "pads" on the thumbs of their hands, if older the pads will be a darker brown I have noticed in my experience. The females do not have these pads.
As far as keeping them together, I would not. There are some people who manage to keep them together, but I have never been able to. Any Ornate I have ever owned has been the most snap happy bunch of frogs I have kept. My largest female would jump up in the air and do backflips across the tank trying to grab my fingers as soon as I would open the tank lid. I have also had several younger Ornates that used eachother as a snack when I tried to keep a small group of them together.
I use plastic tubs and can find them for as little as a dollar a piece at times, so you can house several frogs each in their separate tub for quite a bit less money than using expensive aquariums.
