Why can't you tong feed them directly in their cage?
I agree with Ryan- avoid handling them as much as possible.

I can't directly feed them because they always hide in places where I can't reach with the tongs (also, the longer I wait in trying to get the tongs to the frogs the more time the crickets have to wiggle themselves free of the tongs-I don't hold them too tight for fear of squishing them). Hmmm, I'll try to feed them at night; the disadvantage to this, though, is that it's dark so I can't see much; finding the frogs would be very difficult (I don't want to turn on their light for fear of messing up their day/night cycle).
I don't use a red light; I was talking about the one that is on for twelve hours a day and turns off at night automatically (it's on a timer). If I were to turn it on at night, it would be very bright.
