I know, I thought of you, and said to Paul that there's one lady I'd trust her with, but can't ship my little girl all that way.

There is a state park in Lancaster, but again, I'm not sure adding to their wildlife would be allowed. Maybe I will have time to scope it out 1st.

Another option is a life science museum that has some live exhibits, local children's zoo , zoo.

Good luck I know it is a very hard decision.

Looking into that right now. Jumped on idea mostly because I've been itching to go to a zoo. Thanks! One website has a button link with a toad's face on it that says "donate". I think they mean money but I thought it was funny. (I accidentally rhyme way too much) Anyway, excellent idea.

I mean it stinks to think of no more Banjo hopping around in my life, but I perk up when I come across things like wildlife sanctuaries where she'll always be protected from *most* human harm.
Also check out what this zoo has, I was surprised: The Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center :: Exhibits

oh, and unrelated to that link, i think... spadefoot toads are adorable.

Maybe you and Banjo just need to take a road trip south to NC. We'll put both of you up, but only one will leave.

I was thinking that too... because if I know my geography and maps of North America well enough, specifically Canada and the USA, NC isn't too far from MA. And if there's anyone on the FF that you could trust with a toad, it's Gail

Plus, you'll be able to hear about little Banjo anytime you want

I'm curious, do you think you'll continue keeping toads? I think you should, especially if you find another like you found Banjo, out on the road or in danger.

It's kind of far, we're talking a 12hr drive. Nature Preserves, sanctuaries, and forests, are about an hr or less away.

I still don't know what I'll do with Banjo, she's been burrowed for a day, and I'm not disturbing her. I don't want to lose her at all, and if I'm still with Paul and find another, unless it was injured, no I wouldn't take it in.

In general, I have to grow more out of that childhood/teenage habit of taking in the outdoors. Banjo was the 1st time I'd done that in over a decade, but shows I need to learn better restraint. Not that I haven't enjoyed the **** out of her. And hope to continue to do so, if at all possible.

haha, i was censored. the word was close to "crud", not one of the biggies.
