So my frog rarely burrowed for the last few months, however this morning she was completely underground when i woke up, perhaps it got too cold last night(73ish)? anyway how long should i leave her under. i believe i am due for a coco fiber change, but at the same time i don't wanna dig her up too quickly as for i do not know if that could be bad for her. Also, is it normal for them to randomly start burrowing like this? usually she sleeps under her log, not underground. she spent the last two-three days out of water before burrowing, she usually goes into the water every day. anyway looking forward to responses, thanks.
As long as she wants to.
that is normal, mine is under her water dish ( mean UNDER) lol for quite a while now, I'm just lifting a dish once in a while to check if she's all right.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Yep completely normal. Just do as HerpGuy and Lija have said and do check on the frog every other day or so just to make sure all is well.
My female went out of the substrate 1 month and half since October. You can imagine how long they can stay under the substrate.
And if your frog is fearful (As mine), she will go more than the others under the substrate.
What you have to take care periodically is that the frog doesn't poop under the substrate and stays in the poops ! This could create infection.
