Ben and the new frog (guess I should find a name.) Are both eating well and seem happy. Looks like the new one is going to stay brown. Not one cricket drowned they were all ate. WOOT. Lots of barking going on last night and early this morning too.
Now if I can just figure out a way to make that filter quieter. It is driving me nuts.
Hi Angie! What filter are you talking about ?
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
LOL you had to ask. I have no idea. Anyways raised the water just a little and it is not so noisy. Its not the filter is the water coming out of the filter.
How about Jerry? (for a name for the other frog) (As I sit here eating Ice Cream - Ben & Jerry's lol)
The filter may be making noise for a couple reasons
1) sand got into the propellor
2) the water depth is not deep enough so it is also sucking in air.
72 Gallon Bow - ACF and GF tank.
26 Gallon Bow - ACF tank.
20 Gallon Long - ACF tank.

I fixed the problem. Just added some water.
I think I well call him Jerry.
Boy these boys were making a lot of noise last night. Wander if they knew the rain was coming?
whooo hoo about Ben! and the new frog as well! glad to hear that things are working out much better now!
definitely a soultion to the noise of the water splashing (water flow) from the filter, would be to add more water... less distance for the water to fall... i also use a WHISPER filter, which seems to be a little more quiet in my opinion.
my firebellies, do not have an aquatic set up anymore, therefore they do not have a filter. but my red eared slider, does infact have one, and when i let the water get anywhere near the minimum amount of water required. it makes an obnoxious amount of noise. right now since we just did a tank cleaning, the water drop is about 2 inches and i cannot hear it much at all..
