After a lot of trial and error, my boyfriend and I (mostly him, I have to admit) have finished Lewis' terrarium. It is the Zoomed 12x12x18, and has rocks carved out of pink foam, covered in grout and painted, with a waterfall and a couple of water drips. There is a false bottom with the pump under it. For substrate, we used the Atlanta Botanical Garden mix, and right now the plants are all on the smaller side, but I'm hoping the creeping fig will take off on the wall and provide a little more cover up top.
Lewis is loving having space to roam and hunt versus his 2 gal. fish bowl, so it's working out well. He was a little confused by the waterfall at first though and tried to eat it.
That's a good looking setup. I bet he will be very happy.
Wow, that's pretty impressive. Well done.

Very good, it looks professional.
Awesome set up. Your frogs will be very happy.
Outstanding DIY project. Of all the methods I use, Trial and Error is my personal favorite. Keep up the good work! I predict happy frogs.
Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!
Thanks everyone! It took about 8 months and I'm sure a professional could do it a lot faster, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Biggest lesson learned - you can't use sanded grout. We learned this after putting about 3 or 4 coats on the rocks, so needless to say, there are several more layers of (unsanded) grout.![]()
