Solaris - Our Little Sunshine

Solaris had her first photoshoot last night. It was actually six months ago today that we brought her home. There is only one store around here that ever carries albinos. Solaris was actually the first albino Cranwelli that I saw in person. So home she came. Anyway, she wasn't too thrilled about having her beauty shots taken so I didn't get too many pics of her.

Unfortunately, she has a slight kink in her spine and shows signs of having MBD when she was younger. We stopped it from progressing any farther but some damage was irreversible. Her right leg is a little underdeveloped and she has a little "whistle gap" on the side of her mouth. It makes it look like she is always smiling though. Other than these minor defects she is a big, healthy girl! She gets around great. Every time I give her a bath, I end up wearing half of because she splashes so much. LOL It is about like giving a toddler a bath! She may be a special needs frog but she is still quite beautiful! There is only one store around here that ever carries albinos. She also has very bumpy skin, which almost makes it looks like she has a second set of horns.
