I just got home. And I looked a tubby(he is a grey tree frog) and he has a lump on his lip. He is the only one in his closure. It looks like an insect bite. I think one of the crickets he was trying to eat bit him. What do I do?!?!?!!?!?! He still pretty active. he is bathing as we speak. Should I be worried? Should I put him in a medical tank? The lump looks painful!!![]()
Its doesn't feel squishy. Its kind of hard and its the same color of his skin. It changes color when he does. he still eats. Could it be because he hit his face? Anybody?!?!
Hi Jessica! If cricket bite or injury, maybe want to try plain Neosporin (without any analgesic or pain killer). More information on frog first aid here: Frog Forum - Basic Frog First Aid . Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
on my goodness thank you!! i'll look at it. I been doing google searches and it keeps brining me here. I saw other post awhile back that people been having problems with lump of frogs lip. Its right below his eye.
so the neosproein is safe to put near his lip?
oooh how do I keep him still. he is yelling because he moving to much and trying to get away I don't want to stress him out!! He won't stay still. he was fine with me touching it before but I don't think he likes the Neosporin.
I had to trap his face between my fingers and he kept yelling at me.but I did put some on and he kept wiping it off with his hand, there is still some on there. He just rubbing it in for me. I feel so bad I made him yell
i'll get you posted. how many times should I put Neosporin on?!?!
MAKE SURE THE NEOSPORIN IS THE ONE WITHOUT PAINKILLER! Its TOXIC to frogs!
Yes I know thank you I was told that. Its just original Neosporin. Also how many times a day can I put that on his lip?
