    Default Hey all

I'm new to this forum and to the reptile community, so I figured this would be a good place to start. I have 3 Fire Belly Toads at the moment. There is a picture of my 10 gallon setup below. I ask a lot of questions since I'm new to this so be ready.

Welcome to FF Robert! You can ask many questions; but first, you have to read this : Frog Forum - Fire-Bellied Toad Care and Breeding - Bombina orientalis and relatives. Also, be prepared to be told by many the gravel in your tank is an impaction hazard. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Well, they never eat at the bottom of the water, and all the accessible gravel is covered by moss. Next time I do a water change I may just get a turtle dock and just do water and plants with the gravel

    Default Hey all

    Welcome .

A turtle dock would be a nice idea. You could feed them there. Another idea is to add some aquarium plants...they like to rest in them in the water .

Fire bellies are so cute and playful. We loved ours. Congrats on your new frogs (toads) .

I have live plants at the bottom in a corner. I noticed that I saw some of my moss had been moved into the water and looks like a nest kinda. I noticed they were calling this morning so i cut the light on and caught the mating... a few times. with the arms tucked under the female in an embrace. Might have tadpoles soon
