    Default Fogger for my albino...

Hello, i just joined the site.

I recently bought a fogger for my albino due to the humidity level dropping low when I'm at work. Is it ok to leave it on all day while I'm gone to work? I plan on getting the control panel thing for it but for the time being can it stay on?

Also, can my infrared heat light be used 24/7 or should I get another source of heat for him at night? I'm not sure if they can see the infrared or if will mess up there day/night cycle.

Ive had him for a couple days ands he's only eaten one cricket but I'm assuming it is due to him getting settled in and me getting the humidity right.

anyways I appreciate the help! By the way, Bobo is my frogs name.

ok let's start with your bowl, - it looks too big and deep for your baby.
no do not just leave the foger on, for one it will probably stop working if that is zoomed it will also give provide too high humidity that is a bad for your frog as low. you need a timer or controller to go with fogger.

Thanks for the response! I did buy a new water dish for the little guy. And I had it on for about 3 hours last night for him and the humidity stayed right at 80. I went the store and they didn't have the timers. I will have to order one.

Is your enclosure vented with screen mesh or open areas that let humidity escape? If so you can partially cover it with polycarbonate plastic sheeting cut to size or even use saran wrap taped to top edges. Just keep both materials around 1/2 in. away from heat sources (lamp domes, etc.). Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

your best bet would be to get zoomed hydrotherm and plug your heating and fogger in it to control temps and humidity. but if you do a timer, make sure you get the one you can do small increments, exo terra timer would work probably the best for that. you will probably need to turn the fogger on for 10 min every hour or for 5 min every hour, or 5 min every 3 hours, you'll need to test what works for your tank.

I actually just got a timer at the petsmart in syracuse. It actually works good. I have it running for 30 minutes every 15 minutes otherwise the humidity dips down to 55 or lower. I have to wait till my hydrotherm with temp control comes in next week. But I got the humdity at a constant 65%-80%. He seems pretty happy. Right now he's munching some crickets. Thanks for all of the help!
