hey guys I fed my pacman a fuzzy 4 days ago and the head is still visibly bulging under his mouth and I don't know what to do I made him open his mouth its not visible from there but if you look at the frog the head of the mouse is bulging out of the bottom of his throat
thanks
the fuzzy was to big for him can you show us some pics how big is the frog we need more info . theres really nothing you can do now but rember in the future never feed anything lager than the with of your frog
How big is your frog SVL?
hey guys thanks for responding here are the pictures one of him actually eating the fuzzy and one of him now and ps my hand is pretty big![]()
Can you give us a picture of the bulge you're talking about?
They can certainly get big enough to eat fuzzies as adults, but I'd never feed mine anything bigger than a pinkie just because of the hair.
are you sure it is fuzzy head you see bulging under the throat? agree with DV pcs would be helpful, but I would just leave him be, DO NOT stress him out, open his mouth, etc, nothing you can do now, but to leave him alone to digest. MAKE SURE the conditions are good, he seems awfully dry in the pics and watch him if he starts bloating, or anything else is happening. do not feed him now for a a few days and offer nightcrawlers from now on with occasional mouse ( no more then one a month)
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
i just touched the buldge and i believe the mouse has moved down because now its just filled with air is this normal kind of like the skin was stretched out![]()
Wasn't there someone awhile back that had gotten a pac on discount from a petstore because it had a bone in the throat that was deviated and causing the throat to bulge in an odd way? Could something like that be caused by eating a food item too large?
That was me. I went to get it and saw the bone...ended up not getting it. Didn't look like this. That just looks like loose skin to me.

that's not the mouse. that looks exactly like when granny had the her fluid build ups in her legs and throat. that fuzzy was not too big. I wouldn't recommend feeding it fuzzies that size. but it wasnt too big. that is a fluid deposit I am certain of that. most likely from a bacterial infection.
