    Josh ,
    I don't really understand, sorry.

    What species of frog?

Is the frog kept with another frog?
Post a photo of the enclosure ...... if you can.

It was with a whites tree frog but I had to move him in to a hospital encloser ( check out "whites tree frog help please before he dies" in tree frog forum and you will know what happened) and a leopard frog.

How big is chubby compared to the Leopard frog? If he is small enough to be eaten, the Leopard frog may have eaten him.

Keep the possiblity of an escapee in mind. I would set dishes of dechlorinated water all around your house/room, so he doesn't dry out, and hunt the house at night with a flashlight.

If you do find him, separate him from the Leopard frog immediately. Search the enclosure thoroughly, including the substrate.

It almost looks like that big brown thing in the middle has an open side, I would check in there or gently dig through the substrate.

Don't freak out, just breath and slowly go through the tank. It has to be there, those tanks are pretty hard to get out of unless you left the door open. My whites always go missing and then I usually find them between two leaves or something.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions!

    I agree with Patsy.
Open the door , stand there and remove one thing at a time.
VERY CAREFULLY !!!!! Inspect everything. Use a flashlight.
Whatever you remove.....set it into some kind of container ...just in case you miss finding him on inspection.
Grabbing some help is a good idea. We tend to look in the 'same' spots over and over!

Josh... there have been times I have searched for a tree frog for hours...yes ... hours only to find them right there in the most ridiculous places.

He usually isn't the burrowing type. I guess I must keep a close eye on him

Double check all current the settings ( temp and humidity) in the enclosure and review lots of care sheets for him.
It's a good time to step back and do a good review of his needs so you are sure the environment in his enclosure is right for him.

    Currently :
What is the humidity level and temp ?

Amphibian Care >> Leopard Frog (Rana pipiens and R. utricularia) Care

Does he have plenty of de-chlorinated water?

Funny .....We were typing at the same time!

I'm so glad you found the little devil.
Now he deserves an enclosure all his own!
Or .....with another of his own species- of course !
