Well, the dog fountain idea turned out to be a bust. Just too bulky and wouldn't fit him as an adult anyhow. So, I put down a LOT more peat, got it really wet and humidity is staying more where it should. Also put a little metal bowl down in the peat on top of the UTH, under the light and that's helping too...Sherman decided this was a good spot to hang out. He is MUCH more active now, eating well. Crickets are about gone and today I put him on a plate and dropped calcium dusted small meal worms in front of him and he ate about nine or so. His aim still sucks, takes him about five shots to get 'em, and they weren't moving too fast. I'm wanting to add a few plants, so hopefully can do that soon. I'll try and get some pics of him and you all can help me decide if he is really a he.
Looking forward to pictures.
I haven't read before of using a metal bowl....is there any risk of overheating the metal with it on the peat moss above the heater?
