Heating bulbs

I currently use 50watt infared bulbs and just ambient light for daylight/viewing. Day temps range from 82-85 and night temps range from 76-80. Only reason I use bulbs instread of heating pads is because I had a bad experience with a pad shorting out and burning one of my reptiles.
