    Angry Misson: Beardie Rescue

I'm debating something here, I was over at my boyfriend's place, and apparently there is a bearded dragon living there too (the home owner's). I didn't even notice that there was something alive in the tank until today. She has jaw malformations, can't lift herself, and seemed quite grumpy. Looks like calcium deficiency. The water bowl was dry, no food anywhere (boyfriend says hes never seen her eat or be fed by homeowner.)

I'm thinking about snatching her. My boyfriend is moving out this week, and I just want to take the poor little gal out of her situation.I've got everything I would need for a set up, I don't plan on keeping her long term, just fostering her and getting her healthy again then finding a forever home. One where she is cared for...

Poor thing is skinny too, no color at all.

    Thoughts?

Do it! The owner probably wont even know it's gone. Poor thing. It always amazes me that people can be so cruel. I would definitely take it. If you do decide to take it will you post pics and updates on how he's doing?

Do it. Definitely do it. You may be saving the little girl's life.

I agree, Sherry. I just don't get how people can stand by and do nothing while an animal is clearly sick or being abused.

Not sure understand what is Dragon doing at your boyfriends place or if he shares house with owner. Whatever the health status of Dragon; "snatching" it is robbery and can get you in lots of trouble. Would recommend your boyfriend ask the owner politely if he can take the Dragon. Would not be surprised if the person that don't cares for it would let it go because that is one thing less to care for.

If he won't: then take pics of animal condition now; wait until your boyfriend moves out and get's any deposit refunded; and then report it to local government office that deals with animal abuse. Just saying !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Do It! Animal cruelty should never be tolerated! I love my beardie, very sad to hear about the poor thing. Ours is probably a little too spoiled Lol.

    Default Misson: Beardie Rescue

I got him/her. It hasn't been handled much, usually beardies are pretty chill, but it's very skittish. Has poor eyesight, can barely chew the food, but is definitely hungry. Back legs look weak. I believe he/she can recover, taking it to the vet this afternoon. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366378075.580616.jpg

I understand your concern for a poorly cared for animal!

Without an answer to Jen's ( very important question) I am responding the following manner:

Frog Forum WILL NOT CONDONE this. If you have taken this animal from it's owner ( regardless of its health) ---THIS IS STEALING !!!!
There are many other ways this could have been approached - honestly.

DO NOT continue to post information about this animal here on Frog Forum!

    Please contact me via PM
At that time, we can discuss additional instructions.

"I got him/her." If you have taken this animal witho out the owner's knowledge ; you need to contact the owner asap and discuses the right way to approach this moving forward.

I obtained the animal legally, but with everyone's concern of the law over another life, I am not posting any more updates on the animal's well being.

and thank you for the negative reputation, with that I'm leaving.
