I have 3 FTB. Jelly belly, Smelly belly, and Bullseye (My 3 yr old names them ). I am hoping for some babies. I have pictures but I am not one to read and understand whether it's male or female. I read about thumb things and thicker legs etc. If someone could help I have pictures of the three.

Also do only males croak? I know the males like to amplex but do females do it as well? Sorry for the barrage of questions I am just confused. Thanks again for the help!
PS....Are they all the same species?
Males and females bark. If it mounts, then it is a male. Otherwise, it really can be either
Females don't make the same call as they males. And only males will lock onto other toads in amplexus, but they will lock onto other males as well as females. It can be very difficult to sex these guys on aperance, i was pretty sure I had a female untill one day "she" was barking away amplexing my other male.
Good looking toads though.
