Default Hehe not asking for help, yet.

My son recived stright A's again and asked for a pet. we talked about different types of frogs and decided on a pacman frog. we set him up is a 15 gallon fish tank. same foot pad as a 10 gallon tank but taller by 6 inches. We bought him at the local big box pet store. I'm not sure of his age he's about the size of a ritz cracker a round. My son named him Chicken nugget. he's on a bedding of coconut fiber, has a half log and a little plastic ground plant from the old fish tank. he also has preformed pool with steps. he had his first cricket with us today. will get some nightcrawlers and flip back and forth between the two.

Would it be better to dust the crickets or worms?

Welcome, it's easier to dust crickets in my opinion.

Hello and welcome to FF! First thing to do is read the forum's care article: Frog Forum - Pacman and Horned Frogs - Ceratophrys - Care and Breeding. Second thing is to ensure the substrate is shred coco like ExoTerra's Plantation Soil or ZooMed EcoEarth (both are soil like). From the pic it appears substrate has fibers and nugget which is an impaction hazard.

Dusting is fine; recommend do CA twice a week and multi-vitamins once. I use Repashy's products but ZooMed and ExoTerra also make supplements. Earthworms (night crawlers) are excellent food and dusting works great because it sticks to worms. Would stay away from all beetle type worms (mealworms, etc.) because they are hard to digest and could even be an impaction hazard). Also, provide a plastic dish with de-chlorinated water where frog can take a bath (water level to his mouth). Good luck .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

That's what we are here for; helping and being nice to each other... even to Ogres . Keep water level in dish to frogs chin and change it daily. Also, would cover back and sides with a "forestry" background or similar to reduce stress in frog. Good luck !

You are welcome! Coffee is good, just ask any earthworm . Set-up looks good; now feed frog and watch it grow! If you pick up droppings as they show up, can replace substrate and clean enclosure every 3-4 weeks. Good luck !
