IMO you got it right about there are 2 problems here. You have a very stressed out frog... and a bacterial attack due to reduced immunity levels caused by... stress! A deadly positive biofeedback circle if you ask me !

Now; I'm no veterinary; but will give you a couple of ideas to look at and decide. First read these 3 items and either chose one, other, a mix, or go back to vet; your choice (follow your Heart).

1st one is interesting and literally discuses an anti-stress remedy: www.froggie.info - Redleg . The 2nd one is more of what we would normally do and includes treatments: How to Care for a Sick Frog with Red Leg Disease: 8 Steps. The 3rd one is a recent thread where another member got his Toad better by using salt baths: http://www.frogforum.net/toads/22360...tml#post175331.

Wonder if instead of solid food like dead crickets or worms you would have better luck with emergency type food like: Carnivore Care; Flukerfarms Reptaboost; ExoTerra Electrolyte or similar. I'm sorry can't provide you a magic answer and my apologies if the contradicting information confuses you more. My prayers are with you, good luck !

THanks i will try these =) If i lose my dixie girl.. i am going to give up trying to find blue tree frogs.. shes truely irreplaceable =/

Dixie passed away last night =/ sigh.... That will end my search for blue red eye tree frogs. Maybe the blue gene she has is a weaker gene in genetics. Mike Novoy said the black red eyes are a very strong / dominant gene compared to albino and blues. My other 13 Green Red eyes are doing perfectly fine and my 2 leutino red eyes are getting fatter and fatter. For some reason 4 of my 6 froglets have disappeared into hiding overnight. (normal) 2 are still visible on top of leaves with their tail being almost completely gone =P. I looked at my tadpole tank...i have a few more froglets to transfer over =P

Thanks guys. Out of all my frogs i just wish it wasnt her.. She was a special frog. =/
Carlos, Next time ill try the salt water thing at an earlier stage of red leg. (if i ever unfortunately ever get another frog to get it)
Honestly im surprised she lasted 2 weeks with the illness. FUTURE REFERENCE TO EVERYONE: IF YOU FROG HAS REDLEG MAKE SURE YOUR VET DOESNT GIVE YOU THE MEDICATION "FORTEZ". It may work for some illnesses but IT DOES NOT CURE RED LEG. TRYING TO SAVE EVERYONE SOME MONEY AND PAIN of going through what i did. =/

Oh CJ, I'm so sorry to hear this. She was very beautiful. It's always so hard when we lose them. They are fragile when they are sick. I was hoping she'd pull through for you . Hugs!

Oh CJ, Im so very very sorry. it was very evident how much you cared for Dixie, your lil blue gem. My heart aches for your loss. You gave her the ABSOLUTE BEST SHOT at healing and you gave her a much better life that most other owners would have ever been able to offer.
