WTF stopped eating but now tries and cannot

I have had my WTF for about 3 years and he stoped eating for a few days. Well, now he has got his appetite back, but when he jumps at his food he hits them with his nose and misses. This frog used to let me feed him by hand but now refuses me. I even tied a thread around a crickets leg and dangled it in front of him. He tries to eat it but is unsuccessful.

Hello EZ ! How is frog doing? Have you tried feeding other food like night crawlers? Any changes in enclosure or room? Any physical changes in frogs mouth or eyes?

I once had a frog that had similar symptoms (missed food while trying to hunt). I took him to an amphibian vet, and he diagnosed it as a calcium deficiency; he gave me calcium drops for the frog, and eventually it got better. But I don't know if it's the same with your frog. Hope he gets better soon!

I can't imagine it being calcium deficiency because I dust crickets for her regularly. However, in response to the other post, I did just change the substrate in the tank because I had a frog die from ingesting coconut husk fiber (He ate a alot and never passed it). This is my favorite frog and my oldest. I will never buy another frog again if she dies. So, this is pretty important to me. I could try the calcium drops. Does one have to go to the vet in order to get these drops or can they be purchased otherwise.

I got the calcium drops at the vet; I don't know of any other places where you could get them.
