Amphibians can't see the red light so it's perfectly fine. I don't know about other reptiles but I know that bearded dragons CAN see red light and it disturbs their sleep cycle.

It depends on your wattage. I have a 75 watt keeps the tank around 78 degrees. I actually ise it all day long, it's attached to a hygrotherm so it only goes on a few times during the day. At night I turn it completely off completely because the temp in my house keeps the tank around 70.

I wanna get a 22ºC for my milk frog at night. and i think i dont need any device. but i wanna my frog and i was said in this forum about the red bulb. Another alternative is buying a moonlight of higher W.
