Hi guys,
i am a new whites tree frog owner just looking for some advice and opinions from more experienced owners. I bought two whites tree frogs just over a month ago. Both are pretty small little guys and have been fine recently. They have grown since I first got them and I last week I felt confident in putting moss on the bottom of the exo terra vivarium after cleaning. Soon after this one one the tree frogs turned a brown colour. He is still eating and moving at night buT he crawls behind the exo terra rock background during the day and is occasionally assaulted by the other frog during feeding times!
I am worried that the change in colour is due to stress. If so, how can I help the little guy? My other frog seems fine, much more active, and regularly switches between a beautiful green and brown colour depending on the time of day.
Other info:
-I've been feeding them 5-6 crickets per week, about 1 each per day, dusting crickets with calcium once per week and gut loading them.
- I've been spraying the tank with filtered unchlorinated water in the morning and evening every day
- the humidity and temperature levels seem fine
- I have been changing their water every day (again, filtered)
- I have barely handled either frog, apart from briefly when cleaning the tank. They seem quite nervous of me! Is this normal?
Am I doing the right thing? Hopefully I'm stressing over nothing!
thanks in advance guys!
