genetics experiment ?

I do 6-8 fruit fly cultures every 2 weeks. ( 3 species)
My favorites are TG's ( turkish gliders) .

On 3/26 I cultured my usual varied species of fruit flies.
When I was doing the melos and TG's -- I was sure I got some melos in the TG culture. Yikes !

I made a note on the container , as I was interested to SEE what the result might be:
( I know ZERO about genetics)

When I opened the lid this afternoon.... well ...........they flew !!!!!
