That photo is a joke. I do think it's possible to sex them at 3 inches _some times_ but in most cases it's not.

What do you mean that it is a joke? It is true that he is selling it, but I'm not really sure because it is like 5 months old and he hasn't responded to me. I'm only asking because if it is still for sale and if I do buy it I want to know what it is.
I think John just meant that the photo is a joke-as in, a postive identification of the sex is impossible due to the less than stellar photography. This is just my personal opinion, but if you really want a male pyxie frog, wait for a bit and look into getting one from someone that can be trusted. If this guy was really interested in selling, he would provide better pictures of what he has and he would respond to you immediately. He would also be willing and able to answer any and all questions. If you doubt anything that he is saying, then that might be an indication not to buy from him. I waited almost 6 months to get another frog; I would have waited longer to ensure the one I got was healthy, free from disease and treated right by its previous owner. Your patience and diligence will pay off in the long run!
Yes, the photo is a joke - it's terrible and doesn't tell you anything, other than there is a frog there.
